According to the American Heart Association (AHA), daily consumption of omega-3 fatty acids is important in providing cardiovascular benefit. Unfortunately, many people do not receive enough omega-3s in their diet. If sufficient omega-3s cannot be obtained in the diet, the AHA recommends using supplements. Selecting the right omega-3 is just as important. Omega-3s rich in EPA and DHA in a cleaned triglyceride form provides a suitable alternative to support the heart, as noted by the AHA.
